Gorgeous! (I love the buttercream.)
Is the gold colored or brushed with an edible luster dust, at all? Because that shine is amazing

i know dowels are used in tier cakes but did you use thin boards/separators/whatver in between the layes as well? I am making my first tiered cake soon (just 2 tiers lol) but do need to transport it to the other side of town so i want to make sure it is solid lol.

gum paste roses. bronze pearl poweder mixed with vanilla extract (voldka also works) to make a paint that goes over icing for the vines.

yes except for the persistant crowds and the rediculous amount of sunshine (i thought it was suppsed to rain here or at least be foggy!!) also my daughter and i seem to be somewhat allergic to london *cough* *cough* and my husband had his thousend dollar camera stolen at a pub by some old guy, but other than that its been a fabulous trip!! :D

You have obviously had plenty of experience making roses!
And at 10 minutes a rose I figure that even the ones that are visible in this photo would have taken more than an hour an a half. YOu obviously take time and care with your work!
